Sideswipe Comics

FAQs

What is Sideswipe?

A new brand of comics built for social media and your phone. Three series in one shared universe (ASYLUM, Genesis Next and Sweet Dreams Unlimited) relaunch on 2.7.27, with Task Force: Altar and Aces coming soon.

How do I read it?

Swipe. Every episode is vertical, with one or two panels per screen. Most take about 60 to 90 seconds to read.

When does it start?

The relaunch kicks off Sunday, February 7, 2027 (2.7.27), when the first episode (S1-E1) of all three series goes live: ASYLUM, Genesis Next and Sweet Dreams Unlimited. After that, new episodes come out every week.

Who is it for?

Sideswipe is rated 16+.

Where can I find it?

YouTube is home base, with full episodes in order in our playlists. Follow us on Instagram, Facebook and TikTok for trailers and sneak peeks.

Who makes Sideswipe?

Every series is created, written and directed by Christian Lambert. Christian writes and directs every episode. The art is made with AI tools, used under his art direction, and we share the whole behind-the-scenes process in Inside Sideswipe. Want the full story? Check out Inside Sideswipe.

Are these motion comics? Cartoons?

Neither, exactly. Sideswipe episodes are social story or reel formatted comics: vertical, swipe-to-read and built for your phone. You get real comic book panels, art and speech balloons, one or two panels per screen, with a cinematic score underneath. Think of it as a comic book that lives in your feed.

Why do you add music to your comics?

Lots of comic and manga readers make their own soundtrack while they read, with a playlist or a streaming channel on their favorite music app. Sideswipe gives you a custom score, made to fit the mood of each scene.
